I know it's not directly going to affect MPG but has anyone tried Rain-X?
I got some free about 3 years ago with some Redex and have only nearly finished the bottle.
You put it on your windscreen and above about 40mph, any rain that hits the windscreen just forms into globules and shoots off the top - it's brilliant.
On the motorway, it can be raining hard and you DO NOT NEED YOUR WINDSCREEN WIPERS ON :D
Got to save a bit of fuel though through not using electrical equipment !!! :lol:

Yup, tried some (well, Halfords knock-off) at the same time as the anti-mist stuff. Actually, I've only used it on the back window (no r/wiper on saloon) and side windows. Didn't bother using on f/screen as I didn't really think it would last long on there. Does work on the other windows though so I might slap some on the front.

I can now confirm it works with SNOW too!!!
