Fuelly Stats

Postby frv » Fri Jan 17, 2014 9:35 am

Another year over and time for a bit of analysis! :ugeek:

From Fuelly Annual Report

2013
Total Fuel-ups: 10
Avg Miles/Fuel-up: 682.7
Avg Price/Litre: £1.28
Total Miles Tracked: 6,827
Total Litres Fueled: 495.87
Avg Price/Fuel-up: £63.41
Total Spent: £634.07
Avg Pence/Mile: 9.3p
Avg UK MPG: 62.6

I was particulary pleased to get Avg Price/Mile below 10p :D. 2012 was 10.1p/mile, 2011 was 10.9p/mile. I only managed this with money off coupons and a steady rise in mpg. Nice to know I'm spending less than £53/month on fuel on average.

In 2012 I paid an average of £1.35p/litre and averaged 60.84mpg over 7624 miles.
In 2011 I paid an average of £1.33p/litre but only managed 55.28mpg over 7890 miles.

I don't like spending a lot of time in filling stations so 10 fill-ups per year suits me! I only did 10 last year too :)

£1.28 average price sure is good, that must be alot of vouchers. Does that mean supermarket fuel?

Is the car getting better on mpg with age to help with that steady increase? Or is it all driving technique?

Mainly down to continually honing my hypermiling techniques and also getting to know what's best for FE by getting instant feedback from my UltraGauge.
I usually get supermarket fuel, best coupon last year was 30p off a litre but there was also my mega discount at Shell on the Nitro Plus experiment.

Well done frv to get below 10 pence a mile in that car is spectacular! I do it in mine but it is much smaller. Now I have retired I will be doing a lot less miles so I will have to see what happens to my mpg.

After seeing steve's annual numbers I've got mine from Fuelly

2014 Fuelly Stats
