I'm still running on the last 33 litres purchased and looking good for over another week, CEO permitting. A wee bit of a hiccup after a DPF regen and now forecasting just over 61 mpg if the range meter is to be believed.

Haven't used my car since 6th May and had another run in the Jazz yesterday 4UP to Clumber Park (65.2 / 12.4). Walked round the lake - 4.6 miles and had a picnic - lovely and sunny :D

Back to the grind in the Audi this morning, my turn to drive, 2UP, 7°C:
57.0 / 22.5 (Indicated 60.0 :) )

Tank up 0.3 at 56.0 / 112.5 / Range 550. Fuel gauge: F««««|««««E . UG up 0.3 at 59.0 / DTE552 (I think I need to adjust the UG calibration down)

Looking at Met Office forecast it's not going to be too cold at night (low 8°C) but not that warm in the day (max. 17°C) so hoping for some better numbers this week................ (traffic permitting  )

Going home last night there was an accident on the motorway so it was pointless even trying to get to detour #2 so hilly back route was called upon, 14°C. Actually quite pleased to get over 50 as I was crawling uphill at 12mph at one stage:

50.4 / 20.8

This morning, 2UP, 7.5°C:
56.6 / 22.7

Tank down 0.9 at 55.1 / 156.0 / Range 500. Fuel gauge: F_«««|««««E . UG down 2.6 at 56.4 / DTE479 (UG calibration adjusted)

Lost first pip @ 152 miles (trouncing my best of 137 :D - a great start to this tank! )

52.0 / 20.1

This morning, 2UP, raining, 10.5°C:
57.5 / 22.7 (Indicated 60.5)

Tank down 0.1 at 55.0 / 198.6 / Range 455. Fuel gauge: F_«««|««««E . UG down 0.3 at 56.1 / DTE432

Absolutely rubbish going home last night - raining, heavy at times, stop/start/crawl on first half, 2UP, detour #2, 11.5°C:

45.2 / 20.1

This morning, bad accident on dual carriageway towards motorway, a large lorry had 'chomped' a Peugeot - got this photo as we queued to get past, bits everywhere:

The lorry was pretty well damaged too on the front left. Nearing work another queue meant another diversion , 2UP, 12°C:
55.2 / 22.9

Tank down 1.0 at 54.0 / 241.6 / Range 400. Fuel gauge: F__««|««««E . UG down 1.3 at 54.8 / DTE375

Lost 2nd pip at 237 miles (another record - previous best 219)

Out fishing this morning at a local loch - successful. As usual when I parked up I noted the reading since the last fill and the range, 284 and 179 respectively. The total is 463 so, everything going well, I should get over 60 mpg from the last 33.11 litres and fill up again with, I hope, at least 50 miles of range left.

I don't really understand how the range is calculated. Typically I'll buy around 30 litres but the range then resets to 280. Even if it is more or less than 30 litres the range sets at 280. Each evening I check the sum of the new range and total trip mileages and as long as it indicates over 60 mpg I'm happy. I'll be happier if it starts indicating over 60 - I live in hope.

Going home Thursday was really busy, lots of queuing, detour #2 followed by mini-detour, 14°C.

Car sharer wasn't going to work Friday so decided to cycle to work, set off about 05:30 in the drizzle and got there in 1hr 19mins for the 20.7 miles. Coming back at lunchtime I got a puncture near home but I always carry a spare tube and tools so after a quick repair at the side of the road got home in about 1hr 30mins.

Sunday morning took middle daughter to get her new car (Fiat 500), 10°C, great run up the A1:
62.6 / 33.3 (Indicated 65.9)
Coming back was even better in convoy, 17°C:
65.8 / 32.6 (Indicated 69.2) :D

Tank up 1.2 at 55.2 / 327.6 / Range 340. Fuel gauge: F___«|««««E . UG steady at 54.8 / DTE289

Lost 3rd pip around 300 (wasn't watching!)

Not driving this week, car sharer's turn.

I've sat in one. Tesla have a showroom in Edinburgh on Multrees Walk near the bus station. The salesmen wear open neck black shirts and are quite friendly. I've toyed with the idea of asking for a test drive. There are a few on the roads on the east side of the big toon.
