Normal route looked OK last night on Google traffic but by the time I got there it was rubbish, 2UP, no detours but stop/start/crawl, -1°C, mainly headwind ENE10:

Collected youngest from youth club last night in the Hyundai i10, -1°C, great run going - didn't have to stop at all:

This morning, on my own, hovering around zero -0.5 to +0.5°C, cross/tailwind NE10:
59.2 (Indicated 62.3) / 23.0

Tank down 0.2 at 52.6 (indicated 55.4) / 346.8 / Range 270 . Fuel gauge F___«|««««E . UG down 0.2 at 54.3 / DTE 264

Another fill up today. 29 miles left on the range indicator and fuel warning light lit so managed to squeeze in 54.01 litres. MPG from last fill 63.5 compared with car computed 61.8. Since there was a negative difference between actual and computed at last fill overall car computed accuracy is very close.

OK, think about this. It is said that "generally" car computers are optimistic. Should "in my/our experience" be substituted for generally. I say this because we are working with a vanishingly small sample - tens out of hundreds of thousand cars. Just a thought.
Kia Ceed 1.6 crdi isg Retired undefeated on 25,720 miles and 62.91 mpg overall

Now driving my second Sportage.

Warning. May contain a nut.

You’re probably right TE :D - I’m using a 5.3% reduction on my numbers as that’s the average over-report on the indicated mpg on the on-board computer to the calculated actual over 42 tanks.

Monday morning, 2UP, detoured traffic light section, frosty 3.5°C, head/crosswind NW6:
58.3 (Indicated 61.4) / 23.0

Evening, 2UP, 5.5°C, detour #2 for a change - stop/start/crawl, tail/crosswind SW4:
45.9 (Indicated 48.3) / 20.6

This morning, could see there was a problem on the motorway so detour - 10mph crawl up a hill then more queues and detoured traffic light section again - slow and rubbish, frosty again 2°C, head/crosswind WNW8:
51.8 (Indicated 54.6) / 21.7

Tank down 0.2 at 52.7 (Indicated 55.5) / 433.3 / Range 165 . Fuel gauge F____|_«««E . UG down 0.4 at 54.4 / DTE 179
