British Gas... time to move on!

Postby Karl » Fri Dec 10, 2010 1:38 pm

Had a nice email from BG the other day saying they were removing the internet only tariff we are on in favour of their standard package. That will mean an extra tenner a month for us.

Anybody else in the same situation? Time to move over to a new supplier. Just need to find the best deal. Any thoughts before I turn to Google?

We went with Scottish Power this time last year - £130 cashback at the time and the best tarrif for us. Our deal ended on Nov 30th but they have agreed to extend it for another year - I ran the numbers though www.uswitch.com and I couldn't beat it. Good customer service too.

If you use my referral: http://www.topcashback.co.uk/ref/gord99999 for TopCashBack I get a few quid (varies) once you get to £5 cashback - I will gladly split it with you....

Current cashback offers:
NPower - £80
Scottish Power £62
British Gas £30 (obviously not applicable to you as an existing customer)
Scottish and Southern £23
EON £10

Worth checking out who has best deal on USWITCH and then applying for cashback through TCB once you have found the best deal for you.

I've recently left Scottish Power to got to EDF - gone for a fixed tariff this time as gas and electric prices seem to remind me of a Yazz song "The only way is up"
