A Veg Oil Guzzler ....

Postby mark dale » Fri Mar 28, 2014 8:36 pm

hi Guys,

Karl pointed me here, as I contacted him via email.

My name's Mark Dale - ( non inventive user-name ! ) - I drive 4wd's mainly - Mitsubishi Pajero and Delica, and I mod the owners club forum for the Pajero Club UK . For years, I've been running veg oil as a fuel - handy, as I'm a chef, so can get waste oil etc.

Somehow, magically, our friend facebook linked me up to a new FB page back in November for a new to Uk fuel additive - called XFT. I think, because I run several vehicle groups on there, FB knew I'd be interested !

I got in touch with the guy who ran the page, and tested the additive, and, to cut a long story short, it works for me ... so, I have taken on a distributorship of it. It is a bit of a MLM business, with distributors, and teams etc, but what for me made it interesting is that the product works, and is well handy for folks who are into their cars.

Anyway, I asked Karl if he wanted to try it, and he said to pop over here, and post about it. So, here I am .... I have created a website with info and blogging etc and UK testimonials, that links through to the much more American site, and ecommerce store. - the site is http://lessfuel.co.uk/ have a look, tons of info on there. Some pretty impressive results for me with my MPV http://lessfuel.co.uk/66-improvement-in-mpg-using-xft/

I know it sounds a lot like snake oil etc, and I was sceptical myself, but am seriously impressed with it.

If 2 or 3 folks want some free trial sachets, to do an independent test, let me know.... gawd knows if it can improve a hypermiler's mpg - but why not try ;)

Just let me know via [email protected] if you want to trial it.

Ok, I'm just posting some samples to Steve and Gordon. 1st class, so they should be with you tomorrow ...

Jonny - you need to send me your address.

I'm sending 6 sachets, each, which is enough for the 1st 3 tanks - at double dose - ( thereafter, it continues at a single dose of 1ml per 10 litres. ) which should be enough to see a change ..... in a normal drivers car! - Not so sure about how it will fare with a hypermiler ... but, at least you guys keep a good record of your stats !

let us know how you get on - just had a 15% increase reported from a tester in the Scottish Highlands, in his Honda accord 2.2tdi - from 47 - 55 mpg - which he is very surprised at.

hopefully it'll add another method to your hypermiling methods

Thanks Mark.

If the Accord driver has the i-CTDi then it's the same engine as mine. Heck, I'd be happy with a 15% increase in FE.

I should be able to tell if there's a difference as you say as I keep track of temperature, wind speed and direction, traffic levels, route taken, no. of people in the car, etc. :ugeek:

Received mine this morning thank you Mark.

Have the small matter of 598 miles range before next fill but I suppose I could do a short-fill in order to get testing :)

Mines only a 55L tank but I assume I still chuck in 2x sachets to double-dose?

Thanks, Steve.

I'm a doubter but prepared to be convinced. However, I'll sit this one out in the expectation of warmer weather (no signs yet though) and any consequent improvement. Then you'll have other possibilities to consider. I watch with interest.
