Last time I spoke to sales guy just before I went to Turkey there had been a delay so was looking in end June / poss. early July. I will chase it up in the next couple of days but enjoying the holiday too much at the minute

Seems a long time to wait for a new car. Surprised considering how much cash your paying.

It does Karl. I've only paid £500 so far, my car is rest of deposit so in a weird sort of way it's saving me money as I'll have another month's payment in the bank instead of in the car
As you can probably guess I'm being a bit philosophical about it!

haha - yes sounds like a better way of thinking about it rather than just waiting.

Heard from dealer today, my new car will arrive on Monday. They'll need to do the usual inspection, test drive, valet etc. so be a week or so before I can collect it but at least it feels nearer!

Just seen you changed cars! Well im behind the times!
Its a very interesting choice!
so a 1.4, that can run on two cyclinders!, I suppose thats a bit like being a 0.7 litre when its on 2 cylinder mode. Judging by your figures in your update topics, you are beating the combined, by a good healthy margin.
As for being an auto, that will use slightly more fuel but I should immagine transmitional losses are small, considering its a newish auto box which are better made now then they used to be so its not as bad, as if it was an old auto.
I never knew this tech existed !

Peugeot 106 1527cc DIESEL . Working on an average mpg (just got the car) But working towards 80mpg, with some modifications. (Running engine on 85% diesel 15% Sunflower oil) (6p per mile)

I love the car, engine and gearbox
. The manufacturer's figures are actually identical for the manual and the auto!
I will do a proper review when I get a chance :
