A deposit has been made....

Didn't go for the XF in the end due to the running costs.

The new has "official" figures of just over 60MPG but we'll see :)

Should be picking it up mid week.

You got it spot on!

Its a 2013 C220 AMG Sport Plus.

Its got all the bells whistles and is currently returning 50+ MPG. Its the 2.1 (2143cc) with the 7 speed auto. It's got the paddle shifters but I've only used them a couple of times. The engine is a peach and makes the QQ's dci sound agricultural.

Not as refined as the 3.0 V6 in the c350 but the thought of 30MPG made me cry inside.

I'll pop some pics up when I get home.

Here it is...

Its got all the usual stuff: AMG kit, front and rear parking sensors, fancy red leather stitching and all that stuff.

With careful driving it'll do 50+ all day long in comfort and refinement. Even with the rubber band tyres and AMG suspension it manages to be a little sport but not crashy.

So far I'm a very happy man. Just need to get the rear windows smoked to shield the little ones from the summer sun.
