That means taking the bus or train. York to Leeds train connection is, and I don't mean to sound snobbish, kinda awful. 600 people squeezed onto a train with seating for 150. So we'll see how the stress levels are after being cramped up on a train for 25 through to 45 minutes, depending on the service I take.
On the other hand I am kinda looking forward to not having to go out and drive to work every day, instead I will decide to use the car, rather than feel compelled to use the car. So that's a good thing. I suspect Charlie will see this as an opportunity to use the car for those silly* two mile drives through York most of it sitting in traffic. I'm not sure what way the average fuel consumption will go, as I deliberately take an economical commute to and from the office...
*that means I'm a hypermiler, right, when I see she has driven 3.5 miles but averaged 22 to the gallon over the distance, where I know I'd be struggling to break over 30, but still be over 30!
